[ Apologies, everyone…this post was scheduled to go out at the end of August and we just realized it never posted. ]
Is it really almost September??
We pray you’re beating the heat and looking towards Fall like we are! 🎃
Our Fall is looking to be busy with more travel and ministry, balancing home life with all our kids + new baby Benedict, and both a website overhaul and a new book coming this November (more details on those to come!). Through it all, we hope to continue to stay grounded with Christ at the center.
Here’s a quick roundup of some of our August content.
Our latest podcast episode with musician and friend Andrew Laubacher hits the topics of healing, signs and wonders, and “grace building on nature.” The episode is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and in the link below!
This episode also celebrates the ONE YEAR anniversary of launching this solo-podcast endeavor. Thank you to all who have been supporting it, watching or listening to the show, or financially supporting the project on Patreon. To God be the glory!
This particular episode was sponsored by the Daily Rosary Meditations Podcast.
It’s a resource that teaches you how to meditate and establish a daily habit of prayer while discovering the truths of the Catholic Faith. It’s a great prayer tool for your daily commute or morning coffee listening.
Jackie filmed a video with Edify, the educational arm of Catholic Vote, on the topic of masculinity and femininity, noting that “biology is not misogyny. ” In our time of cultural confusion, it’s received a lot of spicy feedback! Check out the short video below!
BONUS: Our friend has been part of a team that’s putting together a beautiful film project on the Eucharist. It’s called “Dare to Believe.” What if everything the Catholic Church proclaimed about the Holy Eucharist was actually true? Would it have the power to change your life?
Yesterday we celebrated the feast of St. Augustine who wrote over 1,600 years ago in his Confessions, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you!” Only God can satisfy that infinite ache of our hearts. Anything else that we put in the place of our worship—fame, wealth, pleasure, power—will come up short.
Only God can fill that “God-shaped hole” we all carry. The question is, will we give him space to move in our hearts?
in Christ

PS: here’s a pic of happy Baby Benny!
