While no doubt frustrating and stressful, this time of isolation during the worldwide Coronavirus outbreak continues to draw out creative apostolic efforts by a host of parish, communities, and other organizations. It’s no substitute for real, in-person human connection, but at least we’ve been given the tools of the internet to evangelize and stay connected.
We were blessed to give a Sunday Life Night presentation for teens with the organization Life Teen, which played a pivotal role in both of our conversions. This is geared for teenagers but has some nuggets for any listener. We’re on at the 13-minute mark:
We also gave a recent young adult talk with CatholicNYC Presents on staying chaste will under quarantine. They’ve had a number of inspiring talks recently, along with great summer night events, and we were honored to be asked to give a digital presentation:
Let’s keep supporting one another in this Easter Season!
Here is Pope Francis’ prayer for Mary’s intercession on the world during this time of pandemic:
O Mary,
you always shine on our path
as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People,
know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide
so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting
after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon himself our sufferings
and carried our sorrows
to lead us, through the cross,
to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
Amen!
